Engage in the Life of Service

Jesus came to serve not to be served. And Christian discipleship is a life of pouring out, a life of servanthood. How shall you serve? In all of God’s world! That includes your part offered in the church fellowship as well.

As you discover your spiritual gifts (Our Life Focus seminar can help you do just that…) you may offer them in ministries of service to the church body, on behalf of the church in society and world, or in the course of your daily civic life. How do you participate in your community? How do you support fantastic efforts of love, healing and building in your neighborhood, town and nation? How are you part of the solution? Disciples of Jesus should be leading the pack!

In the church we all find ways to do our part according to our gifts. For some it is the ministry of teaching or leading. For others it is in ministry with hands. Others find their peculiar gifts in ministries with children, technology, prayer, the building, the arts, music, gardening, administrating, thinking, communicating, outreach or leading youth in camp. What are your gifts? How are you sharing them?
