All Stephen Ministers have undergone a screening process, including an in-depth interview and a rigorous 50-hour training within our church over 3½ months. The training is carefully and professionally grounded in good Bible teachings and psychology. Prospective Stephen Ministers then give assurance of confidentiality and a mature desire to serve other persons in distress on behalf of Jesus Christ. They commit themselves to a minimum of 2 years availability to this on-call ministry.
Our Stephen Leaders are Stephen Ministers who further their training with an additional 50 hours of training under the supervision of Stephen Ministry, Inc. of St. Louis.
