Mobile Food Pantry. The Mobile Food Pantry is now serving from the parking lot of Broadway Christian Church! Broadway hearts and hands have an opportunity to serve those in need in our community by volunteering to work in partnership with The Food Bank of Central and Northeast Missouri to distribute food at an upcoming Mobile Pantry on the dates listed below. Volunteers will meet at 3:00pm in the east parking lot at Broadway Christian Church (near Heather Street), to unload the Food Bank truck, set up the distribution site, then distribute food to drive-through clients. We'll need 10 volunteers (age 12+) to commit to serving. Finish at 6pm. This is a monthly service opportunity. The next mobile pantry is January 28, 2026. Please click HERE to sign up to serve.
Meal-in-a-Bag Kits for CELN Parents
The Center for Early Learning North (CELN) is Broadway’s Partner in Education. It houses Preschool Classrooms, Early Childhood Special Ed and Parents as Teachers. The Food Bank is no longer sending the weekly Buddy Food Packs home for children experiencing food insecurity. The Center has asked if we could prepare Grab and Go Meals in a Bag. The intent is to provide an emergency meal with all the ingredients in one bag to feed the family that evening. The Social Worker then arranges how to access the additional resources the family may need.
The Wardrobe. Help restock clothing at the Wardrobe. The Wardrobe is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that has been serving Columbia for over 50 years! Broadway assists on the third Thursday of each month from 9am to Noon to stock and then helps sell on the first Friday month from 1pm to 4pm. The Wardrobe is located at 715 Park Ave, Columbia, MO 65201.
MOM Committee Meetings. The Mission and Outreach committee meets on the third Monday of the month at 7pm in Fellowship Hall.
