Help us provide soup dinners to CELN staff

Preschool teachers focus their attention on the positive development of the children in their classrooms.  The parent/teacher conferences they have can be the first time a parent may be receiving positive feedback from the school system.  That’s just one of the reasons we are proud to partner with the Center for Early Learning-North! The teachers have spent hours preparing for their conferences and they allow 30 minutes for each family, as opposed to the 10-15 minutes parents receive in elementary grades. Knowing that others care enough to prepare a hot delicious meal is very uplifting for the teachers. We will be feeding 50 adults for four nights. You can help by bringing a crock pot of soup or a dessert to church or to CELN between Noon and 2 pm on Monday, October 26 through Thursday, October 29.

Meal-in-a-Bag Kits for CELN Parents

The Center for Early Learning North (CELN) is Broadway’s Partner in Education. It houses Preschool Classrooms, Early Childhood Special Ed and Parents as Teachers.  The Food Bank is no longer sending the weekly Buddy Food Packs home for children experiencing food insecurity.  The Center has asked if we could prepare Grab and Go Meals in a Bag. The intent is to provide an emergency meal with all the ingredients in one bag to feed the family that evening. The Social Worker then arranges how to access the additional resources the family may need.
