Christ the King

Christ the King Sunday

Matthew 25:31-46. 

The liturgical year closes with Christ the King Sunday, an underscoring of the ultimately exalted Christ.  But what does it say that the final teaching of the earthly (but soon to be crucified, resurrected, and ascended) Christ presents the “final judgment” as based on how we treat “the least of these?”
